Hi,
I have gone to Europe several months ago. Going there with tour travel agencies. I don’t realize about the spend while I’m in the tour.
Go to France, Tuscany and Holland. Do you think if I travel by myself the spend will not so high? And what area in Europe do you think is best for us to visit and of course best for our wallet too
hi Henry,
I think go by yourself is cheaper if you want to, because you have a bigger range of options to choose, and there’s lots of cheap nice places.
About the area in Europe, it depends a lot what kind of vacations are you looking for? Sun and beach? Mountains? Big cities?
Some ideas:
Last summer i was in Croacia and it is beautiful http://iwannagothere.com/countries/Croatia
One of my favorite cities in Europe is Berlin: http://iwannagothere.com/de/berlin
Hope this is helpfull! Have a nice day!
Great! I always wanna have someone to help me out with some recommendations.
I am thinking about get on a road trip with my boyfriend on August, for just one week start from Phoenix, Arizona, to Utah, Nevada, and CA. My point was to visit The Wave in Coyote Buttes in Page, Arizona, and visit the salvation mountain in California. Since we will be driving past Utah and Nevada, I am wondering if there’s any place more unique and natural (like those two places I listed above) in these two states? and for the big cities, is there any recommendation for night life (we don’t like clubbing that much…)?
Thank you very much!
There’s a lot of really beautiful desert landscapes in that area (and it sounds like you’ll be doing a lot of driving). The places I would try to see without fail, as far as natural features (all of them are national, state or tribal parks), are:
- Monument Valley (http://iwannagothere.com/us/mexican-hat/highlights/monument-valley-navajo-tribal-park)
- Painted Desert (http://iwannagothere.com/us/navajo-gospel-mission/highlights/painted-desert)
- Joshua Tree
- Canyonlands (http://iwannagothere.com/us/moab/highlights/canyonlands)
- Arches (http://iwannagothere.com/us/moab/highlights/arches-national-park)
- Zion
- and of course the Grand Canyon
Some others that might be of interest:
- Petrified Forest (http://iwannagothere.com/us/holbrook-2/highlights/petrified-forest-national-park)
- Death Valley
- Fire Valley (http://iwannagothere.com/us/overton/highlights/valley-of-fire)
- Meteor Crater (http://iwannagothere.com/us/winslow/highlights/meteor-crater)
- Great Salt Lake
Remember that the I-40 in this area is the old Route-66 too, so there are some really neat old diners and gas stations along there. We’re working on getting this content up onto the website as soon as possible, one of our writers (with the username goose) grew up in that area.
As far as non-clubbing nightlife goes, it’s a great place for star-gazing because the night sky is incredibly dark due to having very little light polution — unless you’re in Las Vegas, and you’re at a relatively high altitude. Using the naked eye, and a star chart if you’re interested, you’ll be amazed. A pair of binoculars or a telescope of course make the experience even better. If you spent some time looking up you’re almost guaranteed to see some shooting stars (you can also look for scheduled meteor showers, which are even more impressive). And the other thing I’d recommend are local bowling alleys — they’re a fun, relaxed, and cheap place to go out, although remember most of these natural parks are pretty far away from decent sized cities.
