USA East Coast Photo Book. Day Two: New York
Adriii finaly got the time to do her long-time expected train-trip through the north-east coast of the United States… and she is telling us about her journey!
Big day today. We were meeting some friends on Central Park so we take some free breakfast in the roof terrace of the hostel -and drop some muffins in our bags

We walked Broadway Avenue to Central Park direction. In the way, we encounter the disappointing CBS Store and a very cheap Levi’s store. We arrive to Columbus Circle and get into the park. It’s huge so our first stop is The Diary, the information center held in a very unique little house.
After meeting some friends in the Delacorte Theatre, we take a walk in the Upper West Side Area, one of the most luxurious parts of Manhattan. It’s lunch time so we have some sandwiches, salads and kebabs in the Cafe 21 Pizza. Good choice.
Powered up, we walk down Manhattan, just to familiarize with the city, its streets and people. Suddenly, we found ourselves at Canal Street so we decide to go up again and walk through Broadway Avenue. That street piece (Broadway between Canal Street and 4th street) is full of clothes shops! It’s amazing the prize difference of New York.
We reach NYU and enjoy the university atmosphere. It’s been a long trying walk so we make a stop in Washington Park. We enjoy the street art on the plaza, the refreshing fountain and the historic arc.
Today is the “wonder around” day so we do that and walk to the Avenue of the Americas, where we have a tasty cheap huge hotdog at Papaya Dog. That’s an empowering meal.

We keep walking to midtown until we reach The Rockefeller Plaza. After taking some pictures, we say good bye to our friends. But Dani and I still have some last breath to get closer to the Chrysler Building and take a look at it. In the way, we found the Grand Central Station and I can’t help recalling every movie or TV Show that I used that set.
In our way back to the hostel, we do it in a way that we passed by the Empire State. We are exhausted but our first true contact with the city has been great.
