Adriii finaly got the time to do her long-time expected train-trip through the north-east coast of the United States… and she is telling us about her journey!

So, we found out how to get to downtown: we had to walk 10 minutes to the bus station and then do a 30 minutes ride to the National Mall. This would probably make you cross out the hostel we stayed from your list but I think it’s worth it: cheap, the place is so nice and 40 minutes is not that long, seriously.

The Independence Hall is one of the main attractions of the city so we went to the …… to get our tickets for the free ride. While we wait to our appointment date to came, we visit the Liberty Bell museum and, of course, and as a fan of the TV Show How I met Your Mother, I had to take a picture “licking” the Liberty Bell. The museum is very historically interesting and they have a “all Philly” souvenir store that has all memorabilia you can imagine of the city.

Our time to visit the Independence Hall came and it turned to be a very interesting fun tour. Our guide was very into doing the whole thing as a monologue or something like that so it was very didactic and entertaining.

After standing in the very same room where the declaration of independence was signed, we walked to the Unknown Soldier Park to visit the memorial and buy something to drink before we walk to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. New Jersey is at the other side but we just walked to the middle of the bridge to enjoy the views and take some pictures.
