This area of Palermo was the redoubt of poets and writers and thus it was also the refuge for the tango of those times. 
Gradually, it wasthe center for the artistic “avant-garde” with regard to notonly decorations, clothes and artistic design, but also for new trend in gastronomy, entertainment and night life.
